Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park

Walnut Creek is a favorite because it combines a fun playground with hiking trails and room to explore. The renovated playscape keeps some nostalgic charm while giving families an updated place to play, and it's a great choice if you want one of the more adventurous parks in Austin. There's also a Fortlandia exhibit set up next to the newly renovated playground at Walnut Creek Park, making this playground even more special! We love playing here and think the upgrades they did to the playscape are wonderful, especially the fact that they left the little purple dinosaur from the old playground! After letting the kids play, take them on one of the hiking trails!
